1. Make Sure to Brush Twice a Day Minimum: Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste is one of the best ways to maintain good oral health all year round. During the holidays when you may be indulging in sugary foods or beverages more than usual, brushing regularly becomes even more important. Make sure you brush for two minutes each time and don’t forget to floss too!

2. Avoid Sugary Foods: Sugar is one of the main culprits behind tooth decay so it’s best if you try to avoid sugary snacks during the holidays as much as possible. If you do choose something sweet make sure you brush or rinse out your mouth afterwards with water or mouthwash so that any lingering sugar doesn’t have an opportunity to damage your teeth over time.

3. Drink Plenty Of Water: Staying hydrated will help flush away food particles from between your teeth which helps reduce bacteria build up and prevents plaque formation—both leading causes of cavities and other forms of tooth decay. Try carrying a reusable bottle filled with water wherever you go so that it’s easy for you get enough fluids throughout the day without having access only high-calorie sodas or juices (which contain lots of sugar).

4 . Use A Straw When Drinking Sodas Or Juices : The acidity in some types of soda drinks like cola can erode enamel on our teeth overtime causing them become weaker over time . Using straw whenever possible while drinking these acidic beverages helps keep them further away from our exposed enamel surfaces , reducing their chances damaging our pearly whites.
